Chris MacGuire
Director |
Chris received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia (Canada) in 1995 and then obtained a Master’s in Education from the University of Portland (USA) in 1998. He has worked in education for over a decade in Canada, the United States, and Chile. More recently, he completed his Leadership Training in High School Administration at the University of Notre Dame (USA) in 2006.
Chris began his career with Bridge-Linguatec in 2001 when he completed his teacher training in Denver. He has worked as a Company Coordinator (sales and customer service), as the Spanish in Chile Coordinator, and as Curriculum Coordinator. He is very excited to be back in Chile again after such a long time abroad, and welcomes the new challenges that lie ahead.

Michelle Bédécarratz

Michelle is the director of BridgeChile. She received her degree in English Education, with a major in Linguistics at Universidad Católica de Chile. In 1999, she obtained her Masters in Business Administration.
Michelle began working for BridgeChile in 1993, teaching both English and Spanish, and has been an administrator since 1995. Her job experience has spanned all areas, including teaching, teacher training, program coordination, and sales.

Marie Brandt
Spanish & Volunteer Coordinator |
Marie is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. She studied abroad in Santiago, Chile at La Universidad Católica in 2006 and that same year graduated from University of Milwaukee - Wisconsin with a B.A. in Spanish and Communication. She volunteered as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher at The Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Center for a year before deciding to get her TEFL certification.
Marie has been with us since 2007, when she got certified through our BridgeTEFL teacher training program in Santiago. She then worked as an English teacher for us before becoming our Spanish & Volunteer Coordinator in 2008. She really enjoys working with people and volunteering her time to those who need her help.

Carlos Pizarro
Head Teacher |
Carlos studied Literature and Spanish Language and later got his certificate as a qualified Spanish teacher. He has also taken graduate courses in Philosophy at Universidad de Chile in Santiago.
Carlos has been working as a Spanish teacher with BridgeChile since 2000 and participated in the creation of the new Spanish teaching manual. His interests include literature (of course), philosophy, history, economic and social movements, and education.

Claudia Barañao

Claudia joined BridgeChile in 2002. She has worked in both sales and marketing, and is now our Schedule Coordinator. Her performance has been stellar in all the positions she has held and she is happy to be part of the BridgeChile staff.

Lidia Degeas
Morning Receptionist |
| Lidia is the Morning Receptionist and has been working at BridgeChile since 2003. She graduated as an executive secretary from the DUOC Institute and worked at several other companies before joining us.

Mónica
Muñoz
Afternoon Receptionist |
| Monica has worked as the Afternoon Receptionist at BridgeChile since we first opened our doors in Santiago in 1991. She enjoys attending to the various needs of students, teachers and staff; some of her many responsibilities include confirming teachers´ schedules, directing calls, providing course information, and welcoming clients to the school.

Jorge Jimenez

| Jorge has been working for BridgeChile since 1991. Among his administrative duties are opening the school in the morning, delivering correspondence, and transporting equipment for on-site company classes. During his free time, he likes resting, watching TV, and going out with his family.
